Ferdinand, Vermont


Ferdinand is a town in Essex County, Vermont, United States. The town was named for German Prince Karl Wilhelm Ferdinand of Brunswick-Lunenburg.

The population was 33 at the 2000 census, having had a high of 213 in 1910. The town's affairs are handled by the Unified Towns & Gores Of Essex County. It is part of the Berlin, NH–VT Micropolitan Statistical Area.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 53.0 square miles (137.3 km2), of which 52.9 square miles (137.0 km2) is land and 0.1 square mile (0.4 km2) (0.26%) is water.
